How to Practice Positive Thinking
Thoughts are powerful by nature. They can make or break your success, which is why it’s extremely important to learn the art of positive thinking. Positive thinking can help you reach your goals faster and make you feel happier.
Did you know that we think over 6,000 thoughts per day? With that many thoughts running through our head, it’s not surprising that many of them are not even true. This is why we need to choose which thoughts to believe and which thoughts to change.
Steps to Practice Positive Thinking
- Do a thought download. Write all the thoughts in your head on a piece of paper.
- Pick one thought that irritates you most
- Ask yourself questions. Is the thought true? Do you believe it? How does it make you feel?
- Decide if you want to keep the thought or change it. Get rid of the thought if you don’t like it. If it’s not serving you, then decide what thought you would like to replace it with.
