#48 Be Willing to Drop Perfectionism
I remember in a job interview, I told the interviewer that I was a perfectionist. I thought it was an admirable trait.
Do you strive for perfection in everything you do? Do you feel like failure is not an option and anything less than perfect is unacceptable? If so, then chances are you may be a perfectionist.
Perfectionism is often seen as desirable - after all, who wouldn't want to be perfect? However, the reality is that perfectionism can actually be a hindrance rather than a helpful tool.
Yes, having high standards drove me to stand out. But, it also drove me up a wall.
Turns out, when I let go of perfectionism, I made more progress towards my goals.
Tune into this weeks’ episode to hear about how dropping perfectionism might be the key to taking on your biggest challenge or goal.
